Everyone who has tried this pasta bake love it. It’s a simple and quick and easy recipe but tastes divine. The flavour is not over powering or particularly strong but gentle and subtle. Food for the soul.

Ingredients
Pasta for around 4-6 people
4-6Chicken thighs deskinnedor 3-4 fillets of salmon - deskinned
1big onion
4clovesgarlicor 2 large frozen cubes
Bisto white sauce granules
1.5tspsalt
1.5tsppepper
Cheddar Cheese or Parmesanoptional
Method
Put the pasta to boil – but pay close attention to it – boil until it is al dente – not soft! (about 5 mins)
Finely chop the onion.
Fry the onion, garlic and then add the chicken (or salmon).
Add the 1.5 tsp salt and 1.5 tsp pepper
Make up the white sauce as per instructions on the box
Add the liquid white sauce to the onion/chicken frying pan. Allow to boil and become thicker but not too thick. The consistency of custard is about right.
Transfer pasta to a baking dish
Add the chicken/onion/white sauce mixture to the pasta dish.
Oven back for 20 mins at gas mark 180 C (fan oven), 200 for non-fan.
Sprinkle cheese on top at the end of cooking (optional).

Please note: Frozen cubes of garlic or ginger can be found in international supermarkets and in some major English supermarket stores. One rectangular cube measures 3.5cm x 3.5cm x 1.5cm
