Ginger, Soy and Red Chilli Salmon (2.5 syns)
This is dish is beautiful and unbelievably easy to make. Even if you don't like salmon much, you will love this one. It's sweet with a touch of saltiness and is just simply yum. I've made this dish about 30 times because it is that good. It never fails to impress and all my guests always say mmmmmmmm!

Servings 4 people
Ingredients
- 600 g Salmon for 4 people 150g per person
- 1.5 tbsp honey
- 1 inch cube root ginger diced finely or 1 frozen cube
- 2 cloves garlic or 1 frozen cube
- 4 tbps dark soy sauce
- 1 red chilli finely chopped deseed if you don't like too much hotness. Can use 1/4 tsp chill flakes.
- Rice or Egg/Udon noodles
Method
-
Set your oven to 220C (Fan assisted 200)
-
Mix the honey, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and chilli.
-
Put salmon on a large piece of foil and pull up the edges to make a foil bowl (note you will be covering it with this foil later)
-
Pour the mix all over the salmon. Make sure it is fully coated.
-
Close the salmon in the foil. Make a tight seal by crunching the foil paper together. Set aside for 10-20 mins if you have time (although not essential).
-
Put in the preheated oven and cook for 15 mins. Do not cook for more than 15 mins (otherwise you ruin the delicate flesh of the salmon).
-
Serve with noodles or rice.
